luray design notes is being marketed directly to professionals in the design community including interior designers, architects, and space planners in both contract and residential markets, as well as to stylists and decorators in the film and television industries.

Amelia Battaglio and Roger Sorcio are the creators of luray design notes.

AMELIA BATTAGLIO is a well-known production designer for the commercial film production industry and print advertising.

Beginning her career as a set decorator and stylist for television and commercial film and print, AMELIA BATTAGLIO has become one of the most successful, sought-after Production Designers in the industry. The list of directors and photographers she has worked with over the years is impressive, including major talents such as Ridley Scott, Alan Coulter, Albert Watson, Matthew Penn, Douglas Keeves, Peter Lindbergh, Arthur Elgort, Peter Arnell, Lasse Halstrom and Tony Kaye among others.

Commercial clients have included big, diverse names such as: Mercedes, Target, Ikea, L’Oreal, Levis, Olay, Heineken, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Verizon, AT&T, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, Lancôme and American Express.

AMELIA’s work, constructing and furnishing large-scale sets, along with developing a comprehensive network of design sources internationally, has given her a discerning eye when it comes to upscale interior décor. Drawing from her vast experience, an innate sense of style, and her belief that choices in elegant home décor and furnishings can also support a green lifestyle, has led Amelia to be the driving force behind luray design.

ROGER SORCIO is an established senior project manager working in New York City and has been a Leed – Certified Professional since 2002.

With a background as owner and manager of several architectural woodworking and project management companies, ROGER SORCIO has had the opportunity to work closely with some of the world’s top architects:

Robert AM Stern, Richard Meier, Gaetano Pesci, Costas Kondylis, and other iconic forces in architecture throughout the world.

ROGER’s work has been featured in such glossy design books as Architectural Digest, Casa Vogue, Arbitare, Interiors and House Beautiful, to name a few.

SORCIO is currently a senior project manager for Interior Alterations Inc, a construction partnership specializing in very high-end residential spaces. In 2002 Roger qualified as a LEED-Certified Design Professional—an accreditation of the U.S. Green Building Council—and he now researches and implements sustainable building practices, such as solar, geothermal and local resourcing. To be a partner in luray design allows Roger to further promote sustainability as an essential aspect of design.

Amelia and Roger have employed their varied experience, their aesthetic and their knowledge of sustainable practices, to make the selections at luray design the ultimate in design and sustainable innovation.

AMELIA BATTAGLIO and ROGER SORCIO are also partners in life, they reside in Brooklyn, New York with their two sons Raphael and Luke.
